Wildlife from Down Under

I have been living in Australia for the past 6 years now. One of the things I love to do in my spare time is visiting zoos and animal sanctuaries here. Some of them are endangered species and the thing I really like with Australians is that they respect and conserve their wildlife. Meet some of the Aussie wildlife that I was able to snap photos of.

Male Kangaroo

Skink

Wombat

Dingo

Emu

Kookaburra

Carpet Snakes

Tasmanian Devil

Peacock

Cockatoo (It was eating a piece of fruit whilst perched on top of our TV antenna)

Last but not least, the Koala

Chasing Sunsets and Skylines

People love sunsets and the bright blue sky on a sunny day and I am a big fan of them too. Whenever a mesmerizing sunset or an scenic skyline greets me, I would do my best to immortalize that moment and whip my camera phone out to take still shots. Here are some of the most spectacular sunsets and skylines I have been blessed to ever lay my eyes on during my travels.

The Three Year Event in Rockhampton

Let me introduce you to Rockhampton, famous for being the Beef Capital of Australia. Every three years, the world turns it's focus on Rockhampton, Queensland for Beef Week. It is usually held in May and cattle farmers from all over the world converge into this sleepy little city. And when there's these sort of events, food always follow. And since it's Beef Week, good ol' fashion steak is on the menu.
