Hidden Gems of Davao Region (Part 2)

Now I'm going to feature another hidden gem of Davao Region. Let me introduce you to Mati, Davao Oriental.

Mati Baywalk (2014)

I remember back in 2005, my girlfriends and I embarked on an adventure where we drove 7 hours to go to Dahican Beach. Back then, only locals congregate in this beautiful beach escape. Nowadays, a lot of local and even some foreign tourists frequent the place for surfing. Davao Oriental faces the Pacific Ocean. Big waves. White sand.
Indeed, this is a sweet spot for surfers and beachcombers alike.

Exploring CANADA: Banff, Alberta Trip to Lake Louise)

I went on hiatus because my family and I travelled to Canada. We visited the states of Alberta and British Columbia. This was a very scenic trip for us. Snow-capped mountains, beautiful people, and the sighs are just breathtaking. I also enjoyed spotting some of the local wildlife going about their merry way.

First let me show you photos of Lake Louse, Banff, Alberta. Unfortunately, it was raining when we visited but nevertheless, Lake Louise is still a sight to see. Calm, turquoise waters boasting of snow-capped  Canadian Rockies as it's backdrop. Stunning. I can't help but fall in love.

VIETNAM - First Stop: Ho Chi Minh City

I have always wanted to visit Ho Chi Minh. I have heard from friends that it was such an awesome place to visit. Good food, unique experiences and.. more good food. My friends and I stayed in District 1, Bui Vien Street and chose to book Meraki Hotel because it was smack bang in the heart of the pumping Bui Vien party scene. Without further ado, let me show you Ho Chi Minh through my lens.

Greeted with motorbikes, I am definitely in Viet Nam
Bui Vien by Day..

As the sun sets, the city bursts into life

The Vietnamese do Roast Chicken right, so yum!

And they do amazing sweet potato fries!

So as you can see, all we did was party, eat, toured a little, and repeat. We are a creature of habit, we pretty much stayed in District 1 and took a half day city tour to see some of the sights. But our goal when we went to HCM was just to eat. And let me tell you, we ate.. a lot. Ho Chi Minh was our food destination. And we will come back for more.
