Exploring Vietnam (Hoi An)

Last month, my friends and I embarked on fun-packed, exciting and memorable trip to 7 cities in the Indochina Region. Our second country to visit was Vietnam.  We stayed 10 days in Vietnam and Hoi An was our second stop.

We stayed at a homestay that we booked through AirBnB and it was a good experience. Our host was very hospitable and helpful. They helped us organise transfers and gave us tips on where to visit.

The people were also very friendly and warm. We even had the chance to enjoy a bottle of Tiger Beer with the locals at a small corner store in spite of the terrible language barrier. To me, Hoi An was a melting pot of everything that has shaped Vietnam. You can see the Chinese and French influences marry with traditional Vietnamese architecture. It is an interesting city to visit and a worthwhile stop. They are famous for their leather so if you are in search of a good leather jacket, when in Vietnam, the best place to buy one (or have it tailor-made) is Hoi An.
